UCD Archives’ Kate Manning appointed as member of Irish Manuscripts Commission

On 26 June 2017, Kate Manning, Principal Archivist, UCD Archives, was appointed as a member of the Irish Manuscripts Commission, for a five year period, by Heather Humphreys, TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.

The IMC was founded in 1928 and its mission is to promote public awareness of primary source materials and their importance for the history, heritage and culture of Ireland. As UCD Archives curates many of the most important archival sources covering the Irish revolutionary period, Kate looks forward to contributing to the work of the Commission during the Decade of Centenaries.
