Resources

MyRI

MyRI is a collaborative project of three Irish academic libraries producing a set of materials to support bibliometrics training.

All materials are available on Open Access under Creative Commons license, enabling you to select, edit and re-package them to suit your local needs.

This project will lay the ground for further such collaborations of libraries and academic units to make best use of expertise and resources, enabling progress to be made in strategic directions such as this.

Using Other Libraries

CONUL libraries are members of various cooperative schemes to help users of one library make use of another.  Staff and students may use other Irish and UK university libraries to consult material and in some cases to borrow.

Undergraduates and Higher Diploma students who wish to consult material not available in their own library can apply for a CONUL card.

Full-time academic staff and all postgraduates can avail of the ALCID scheme.

Academic staff and postgraduates can avail of the SCONUL Access scheme which gives borrowing facilities to participating libraries in Ireland and the UK.

ALCID scheme

All members of CONUL are members of the ALCID cooperative access scheme. ALCID is a co-operative access scheme between the libraries of:

  • Dublin City University
  • Dublin Institute of Technology
  • Mary Immaculate College
  • Mater Dei
  • National University of Ireland, Galway
  • National University of Ireland, Maynooth
  • Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
  • Royal Irish Academy
  • St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra
  • Trinity College, Dublin
  • University College, Cork
  • University College, Dublin
  • University of Limerick
  • University of Ulster

ALCID enables access to the collections of each of the participating libraries, without formality, on production of a common ALCID membership card for full-time academics, academic-related staff and registered students reading for postgraduate degrees.
