To mark National Digital Skills Week 2017 RCSI Library hosted two collaborative Digital Skills Hub pop-ups with departments from across College to showcase the range of supports, courses, activities and resources available to all staff and students in RCSI. With colleagues from the Health Professional Education Centre, Careers, Student Supports, HR Learning & Development and IT, the Hub was one point of contact to engage staff and students on what Digital Skills means to them and how they impact every aspect of our living and learning.
As part of the events, interactive activities also gathered information from participants on areas they want to work on to keep their digital skills up to date. This cross-departmental collaborative approach to Digital Skills was a first for College in terms of presenting a one-stop-shop for a key skills area and acknowledged as a model for future activities that are relevant to a range of departments and to both staff and students.
