NMC Horizon Report recognises UL’s contribution to digital skills

The Glucksman Library at the University of Limerick collaborated with the Centres for Teaching & Learning at NUIG, UCD and Mary Immaculate College in a National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning project known as All Aboard.  In the recent NMC Horizon Report, Library edition (New Media Consortium, Texas, USA), the contribution of the All Aboard initiative was recognised for identifying the skills that higher education faculty and graduates need to feel confident and creative when learning and working in the digital world. The All Aboard project produced a framework, a digital badging initiative, and events aimed at building Ireland’s digital capacity. In April, librarians at the Glucksman Library in UL took part in an independent review of the National Forum initiated by the HEA which is examining the impact of the National Forum’s work on the Higher Education sector.
