Academic libraries in Ireland have been meeting the challenges posed by COVID 19 since March 2020. They deserve praise for how they have exceeded expectations as they have continued to provide an essential service to all our users. An excellent article by Allison Kavanagh, Head of Library Services at TUD Dublin and Chair of CONUL Ireland, outlines the response by Irish academic libraries to all the challenges posed by #COVID19 pandemic. It also discusses the longer term consequences of the pandemic for academic libraries.
