CONUL is a consortium of Ireland’s main research libraries. Its mission is to develop and improve the library and information services of the CONUL members through the exchange of experience and the organisation of cooperative activities.

Regulatory Affairs

Focusing on copyright and other regulatory affairs of interest to libraries.

Sub-Committee on Collections, Preservation & Conservation

Monitors CONUL collections, special and otherwise, with the aim of identifying their accessibility, condition, preservation and other needs. Investigates storage requirements of CONUL libraries.

Teaching and Learning

Working to promote the role and measure the value of, libraries in teaching and learning within Higher Education.

Digital Services & Infrastructure

Developing a national approach to the digitisation of collections and issues surrounding ‘born digital’ content.

ANLTC (CONUL Staff Training & Development)

Identifies training needs within member libraries, runs an ongoing co-operative training and development programme.

Research Support

Working to develop a research support tool kit addressing Bibliometrics,data management and publications strategy.
